2/6/2008: Updated Mammoth Air Quality Monitoring Station page indicating PM-10 data issues appear to be resolved. Output channel 1 to logger was configured in such a way to spike output voltage when parameter readings were out of speck and since output channel was changed to 2 with no special flagging configuration on 2/5/2007 at 1745 the TEOM output values appear to be valid. All bogus PM-10 daily archive graphs were also deleted from the Mammoth Archive.

6/26/2007: Data Monitoring Network offline since 6/25 @ 0500. Telemetry computer up and running data processing software. AutoFTP program not sending updated data parameter images. AutoFTP program restarted and data sent at 0700.

6/14/2007: Changes made to the Owens Lake page. The settlement agreement requires the District to notify the City of our modifications the existing sand/sensit network of the DustID program. Now available are the new sites as of June 14, 2007, a map of all current sites, and a spreadsheet of the new sites with geographic coordinates.

6/8/2007: Data Monitoring Network offline from 0200 - 0600. Telemetry computer was locked up at the login screen because of a supposed device driver failure. Why does Microsoft always say "your computer has recovered from a serious error" and blame it on a device driver?

5/22/2007: Removed the White Mountain Research Station - Owens Valley Lab from the Data Monitoring Network. The portable air quality monitor that has been collecting data at this location since April 6th, 2006 has been relocated to the community of Tecopa. Due to site remoteness, the Tecopa Monitoring Station data will be unavailable because of our inability to establish telecommunications with the site.

5/22/2007: Posted link on Home page to Los Angeles Times news article, Audit faults the DWP, contractor on Owens project: The utility is accused of lax oversight of the firm it hired, which is accused of grossly overcharging for dust cleanup (removed-6/1/2007).

5/17/2007: Bill Stanley Air Quality Monitoring Station posting near-real time data to the web again after parameter outputs have been standardized with new programming.

4/6/2007: Noticed Mono DustCam image froze on 4/4 (1 week from similar mishap, see 3/28 entry). Reset EvoCam program, ran Mac Mini software updates, then disabled software updates in system preferences. Images uploading every 30 seconds once again.

4/4/2007: The Dirty Socks, Flat Rock and Shell Cut Air Monitoring Stations are up and running with new standardized outputs.

3/29/2007: New look for the Olancha Monitoring Station. The first station to have outputs standardized within the Data Monitoring Network. Hourly maximum wind speed (gust) will be added to all the station programs and web meteorological graphs.

3/28/2007: Mono Lake DustCam reset and uploading images every 30 seconds. Thanks Aileen Z..

3/28/2007: Stage 2 Health Advisory issued for the community of Keeler. Keeler TEOM levels = 1135 µg/m³ @ 1400(PST).

3/27/2007: Data Monitoring Network data file transfers ceased Saturday 3/25 at ~0300, thanks Guy D.. FTP program was found still up and running and transfer log records indicated all files transferring properly. Reset program and now all data is "really" being transferred hourly. Will try to resolve program glitch, again (see 2/27 entry).

3/24/2007: Mono Lake DustCam image froze at 1206pst. Able to connect to camera directly on 3/27 @0700 for live view. Will resolve ASAP.

3/22/2007: Updated the Permit Application page with revised Application Section A-2, Instructions Section A-2 and the Secondary Source Application .zip package.

3/20/2007: Sample filter problems at the Lone Pine Monitoring Station since 3/16/07 resulted in invalid data for 4 days. Archive graphs edited.

3/13/2007: Updated the Data Monitoring Network to notify users of Daylight Savings Time discrepancy from the Pacific Standard Time data collection format.

3/9/2007: Created Surplus page (removed- post distribution) and posted surplus equipment list that will be available for government agencies, schools and charitable non-profit organizations on March 21, 2007. Any equipment remaining after March 23, 2007 will be auctioned to the public or thrown away.

3/8/2007: Changes made to the Owens Lake page. The settlement agreement requires the District to notify the City of our modifications the existing sand/sensit network of the DustID program. 2/27/2007: Data Monitoring Network data file transfers ceased Friday 2/23 at 1900, thanks Dan J.. FTP program was found still up and running and transfer log records indicated all files transferring properly. Reset program and now all data is "really" being transferred hourly. Will try to resolve program glitch.

2/23/2007: After a power outage on Jan. 16 a backup power system was promised for the Data Monitoring Network to prevent down time. The first UPS installed (recycled from other district projects) was obnoxiously loud and therefore shelved. The new Direct UPS is almost silent as of this morning, has been installed and tested.

2/22/2007: Data archives back up and running at all Data Monitoring Network sites. Due to data transfer profile conflicts, daily data was being duplicated on every transfer, thus after a few days of duplicates of duplicates of duplicates (you get the picture), this issue needed prompt attention. As a result there are no daily archives February 1 - February 21. Sorry for the inconvenience.

2/13/2007: Data Monitoring Network not posting new data since 2/8/2007 at 11pm. Resolved issue by rebooting ftp program which transfers all monitoring station data to web server. - sorry for the inconvenience.

1/19/2007: Data Monitoring Network makes feature item on the Home page. All bugs appear to be worked out with the DMN system. Backup power to computer processing monitoring station data to be installed early next week. Website demonstration to be given at the Governing Board meeting Monday morning. Lots of website cleanup activity today.

1/18/2007: Data Monitoring Network fixed and reinitiated. Web postings occurring every hour @ 1600 PST.

1/16/2007: Power outage at approximately 0815 PST caused a shutdown of the live web data monitoring network. Computer rebooted, data rendering software upgraded and web postings ceased due to data loss from software version incompatibility.

12/26/2006: Power outage at 0006 PST caused a shutdown of the live web data monitoring network. Computer rebooted, data rendering software reinitiated, and web postings occurring every hour again @ 0810 PST.

12/22/2006: Health Advisory issued for Keeler via fax distribution list only. Dust from the Keeler Dunes due to strong north winds resulted in hourly PM-0 levels of 3051 µg/m³ @ 1300(PST).

12/21/2006: Access our Data Monitoring Network from our Home page. The "Data" button is now in the left navigation bar.

12/20/2006: The Hammil Valley Monitoring Station has not been archiving data correctly. I believe I found the problem and resolved the issue.

12/18/2006: Great Basin's Air Quality Data Monitoring Network continues to run smoothly for all 10 stations available. Within a few days the data network will be available from the Home page. Daily archives are being posted just prior to the midnight hour. The naming convention for monitoring sites and monitoring archives are http://www.gbuapcd.org/data/monitoringsitename and http://www.gbuapcd.org/data/monitoringsitename/archive respectively.
Example: Current conditions and the past data for 24 hours at Mammoth can be found at http://www.gbuapcd.org/data/mammoth. Archived data for mammoth can be found at http://www.gbuapcd.org/data/mammoth/archive.

12/14/2006: The Mono Lake DustCam is installed and posting images to the web LIVE every minute. Also available for selective staff use, is camera Operator Access (user name and password required).

12/13/2006: Updated Rules and Regulations. On December 4, 2006 Rules 401 (Fugitive Dust) and 431 (Particulate Matter) were revised by the District in order to comply with SB656.

12/12/2006: Appears there was a power outage here in the Bishop control center between 0200-0300. The real time data monitoring network was reset at 0800 this morning.

12/11/2006: Created the Mono Lake page where LIVE images from our Mono Lake DustCam will be available soon.

3/11/2005: Worked on creating website databases which are still in developmental stages.

3/10/2005: Created health advisory press release page for information regarding health alerts. Uploaded the What's New Page.
